This is the record which gave rise to the belief that James "Isaac" Henderson married into the Rhodes family. The Henderson and Rhodes families were early settlers of Onslow County NC's New River area. Page 3 shows the "inserts" which mention Henderson grandchildren Obedience and Charity Jenkins (daus of Elizabeth "Betty" Henderson Jenkins), and Ezekiel Henderson (son of Argalus and Sary/Sucey[?] Henderson).
NOTE: There may be two copies of the Henry Rhodes Bible. The copy Laura Henderson saw and photographed in the 1990's was in the library of Greensboro College (NC) and did not contain the Henderson references. Onslow County NC historian Sloan Mason refers to a copy of the Bible in the Cullen Hatch Collection (probably the one which was photocopied by the NC archives), which does contain the Henderson references included in this PDF.

NC. Argulus ["Argulus"] Henderson's will mentions wife[?]
Molly Henderson, children Frances Henderson Clark, Hezekiah Henderson,
Abner Henderson, Lewis Henderson, Isaac Henderson, Ezekiel Henderson,
and James Henderson.
Grandchildren Mary Henderson (dau of Frances Clark), Rachel Henderson
(dau of James Henderson), and Sally Henderson (dau of Isaac).
Also names negros Hannah, Dick, Luce and child Humphrey, George,
Beck and child Farb, Mike, Edie Sealy, Jerry, and Sam [12 slaves
total in will].

"A Muster Roll of Forces, retaken at Henry Rhodes' on Friday, the 25th of October, 1754, to serve as militia in a regiment of foot, commanded by the honorable Colonel John Starkey, Esqr., in Captain Tho. Hicks' own company, viz..." includes James Henderson, members of the Rhodes family (see Rhodes Bible, above), Averitts, Wm. Loyd, Jenkinses, and other familiar New River names.
